SS Samuel Mather

a steam ship with 3 sailing masts represented state of the art commercial ship design in the late 19th century. the Samuel Mather is a wonderfully preserved time capsule from her sinking in 1891. upright and largely intact in 55m/180 ft in Whitefish Bay, the icy cold waters of Lake Superior have done wonders to preserve this museum.
